Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. This combines multiple movements into a flowing workout. Start at A, trot down the center line.
  2. At C, track right. Ride a 20-meter circle at B. Continue on the track.
  3. Across the diagonal H-X-F with medium trot. Collect before F.
  4. At A, ride a 20-meter circle left. Continue on the track.
  5. At B, shoulder-in down the long side to the corner. Ride the short side normally.
  6. Across the diagonal K-X-M with free walk. Pick up trot before M.
  7. At C, canter right lead. 20-meter circle at E. Continue to the next corner, then trot.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Forgetting the sequence mid-workout.
  • Not preparing transitions soon enough, causing rushed or late changes.
  • Losing the quality of individual movements while focusing on the overall pattern.
  • Rushing through the workout instead of riding each movement deliberately.

Variations & Progressions

  • Create your own workout by combining movements you need to practice.
  • Add more canter work for a conditioning-focused session.
  • Include lateral movements on every long side for a suppleness-focused workout.
Tip: Riding a connected sequence is harder than practicing movements in isolation. It's the closest thing to riding a dressage test.
